Bb. Texture

Texture. It's what makes everything – people, cities, stories, sweaters, life, hair – more interesting. Bb.Texture hair(un)dressing creme provides an elusive, undone-yet-done quality with a hint of grit, grip, volume, extra lift and a tousled, shine-free finish... a scuffed, second-day style in seconds. It gives a dry, matte finish and builds easily with memory and moldability.
This product is great for anyone (all it takes is the right attitude...and application). Make sure you put it on damp hair, start with a small amount and build. Let sit a minute, then loosen and ruffle, freehand. Apply at roots for extra lift. Use a diffuser for more volume all over.
Here are some cocktail ideas to get you going:
Bb.Texture + Grooming Creme = more moisture and polish for a softer yet still-messy texture with sheen
Bb.Texture + Styling Wax added at ends = flexible detailing plus shine
Bb.Texture + Brilliantine added at ends = more sheen and separation for a more languid, slept-in texture
Experiment. A true original, Bb.Texture never styles the same way twice.

Bb. Styling Creme

Is it a gel? Is it a mousse? No-but it works like both.
Love it for its versatility and simple strength - slick back, add body, lift roots or define curl. The more you use, the more it holds - wet or dry. Styling Creme is a setting medium that works well for many hair types, holding fairly firmly and giving extra texture. People with curly hair love it for definition; it's great for thick, heavy hair when blow-drying, and for combing through short styles that dry naturally. Convinced by Bb. Stylist Vaughn Acord, Bruce Springsteen made the switch from gel to Styling Creme!

Bb. Tonic Lotion

a MUST before styling
Tonic is unlike anything else, ever. A blend of herbs, vitamins & Tea Tree Oil replaces moisture, soothes, detangles, enhances the performance of products and reminds us of old-school barbers' elixirs. It feeds the scalp and roots. Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint deliver a fantastically soothing coolness.
Great for anyone but especially dry, coarse, porous or colored hair. Use it daily before your other products, you can also use it to reactivate products already in the hair.

Product Spotlight: Bb. Gel

the MULTI-TALENTED SCULPTING MEDIUM
Molds firm and shiny shapes or brushes in soft, yet still-shapely forms (and it's alcohol free). The best part? It doesn't flake!

Work a small amount into hair (add more as necessary); style and let air dry; brush through for a softer look.

Product Spotlight: Styling Creme

Styling Creme
Is it a gel? Mousse? no-but it works like both!

Love it for its versatility and simple strength - slick back, add body, lift roots or define curl. The more you use, the more it holds - wet or dry. Work through damp hair and style; use it with heat (like a mousse) to create managable volume, or without (like a gel) for control.

Product Spotlight: Bb. Holding Spray

Holding spray offers fairly firm yet flexible, workable control, whether misting a finished style and taming strays or saturating hair before applying hot irons to hold shape. It has lasting hold but brushes through without struggle.
why: workable hold, light weight, heat protection, pump spray
when: anytime; during styling. excellent for use with curling irons, flat irons and the like
how: hold about 10 inches away and spritz in fluid, even strokes. When using with heat tools separate hair into sections and mist just prior to contact. To finish, apply evenly to dry and styled hair or to touch up specific areas
press box: Heather Locklear laps it up. A favorite among ballerinas and debutantes

April Showers

defrizz. Does what it says (and more): protect against frizz, acts as a barrier to humidity and leaves hair soft, silky and fly-away free!

holding spray. Mist it onto a finished style to hold, shape and tame strays-it offers fairly firm (yet flexible, workable, brushable) control.

Product Spotlight: Bb. Straight

Straight was created for the curly haired. It is blended with 5 types of silicones for a beautiful, shiny blow out and to help with flyaways.
WHY: Humidity protection, heat protection, heat-activated hold and a super-soft feel
WHO: Curly hair of any type
WHEN: Anytime before heat styling
HOW: Squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers. Blow-dry under high tension to straighten.
TIP: If you are aiming to tame normally wild and crazy curls to a glistening cascade, towel-tousling and shaking hair upside-sown is a surefire road to pouffiness. Dry hair by pressing towel to the head to initiate the downward trend.

Bb Product Spotlight: Styling Wax

Styling Wax is water-soluble combination of wax and silicone that gives a shiny finish but isn't greasy. The great thing about it being water-soluble is it's easy to wash out! Great for pixie cuts!

WHY: Gives you texture, gentle hold, flexibility, shine and separation
WHO: Anyone
HOW: Use throughout the hair for texture or just on the ends for shape and separation
PRESS BOX: Styling Wax is as popular among men (Ben Affleck, Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas, Sean Penn, Val Kilmer and Steven Tyler) as it is among women (Christina Aguilera, Halle Berry, Keri Russell, Selma Hayek and Sarah Michelle Gellar)

Product Spotlight: Bb. Brilliantine

Now we aren't one to pick favorites when it comes to Bumble products but if we did Brilliantine would definitely be one of them...Brilliantine was developed to be used with razor cuts, because it is mainly oil based it gives excellent separation, shine and reinforces the texture of razor cuts. It gives you that languid, sexy, slept-in look.
WHY: For texture, separation, shine and moisture
WHO: Anyone. Use sparaingly on fine hair
HOW: Start with a small amount and build up as needed (be careful or you could wind up looking like a major greaseball!).

Bb. Product Spotlight: Grooming Creme

Grooming Creme was created when a Bb. Stylist began blending concoctions of hand and body lotions for hair at fashion shows in the 1990's.
WHY: For texture, separation, satin sheen, moisture, volume control and definition

WHO: Use very sparingly on very fine hair. Good for thick, coarse and afro textures or dry hair. Excellent choice for men, its moisturizing oils make it a good substitute for conditioner.

WHO: anyone who wants hair to REALLY stay put
HOW: Start sparingly and increase as needed; work a small amount through towel dried hair (the drier the better) and sculpt, mould, spike or slick.

Product Spotlight: Bb. Styling Creme

When mousses and gels flooded the market in the 80's Bumble went against the grain and came out with Styling Creme. It's neither and both at the same time.
WHY: strong hold, midweight and body-building
WHO: works well for many hair types, also great to give curly hair definition. Gives a semi strong hold as well as amazing volume! Doesn't weigh down even the finest of hair.
HOW: work through damp hair and style. The more you use the more hold you will get. Use with a blow-drier for more volume and a softer hold.
FANS: Bruce Springsteen made the switch from gel to Styling Creme and never looked back!

Product Spotlight: Bb. Styling Lotion

Styling Lotion makes working with delicate or fine hair less risky. It is light, both in terms of hold and weight, and it makes hair less vulnerable by lubricating, detangling, and gradually strengthening. Consider Styling Lotion a multi-talented mist or as Thickening Hairspray's less-controlling sister; a gentle starting lotion for the uninitiated or naturalist.
Why: Gentle hold, lightweight, fewer tangles, less breakage, heat protection, strength
Who: Anyone; a good choice for fine, frequently styled, fragile or chemically treated hair
When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion and before heated tools
How: Spray on damp hair evenly by sections. Work through and style.
Press Box: Diane Lane combines Prep with Styling Lotion. Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow became big fans on the set of Friends.

Product Spotlight: Bb. Hair Powder

What is Bumble and bumble Hair Powder? Well they add sexy va-va volume, extend the life of a blow-dry by absorbing excess oil and provide a dry texture that keeps pins and clips from slipping (so styles stay put). The shades enhance or shift hair color - these fantastic and fun forms of temporary color can be used to blend away roots between color appointments (Hallelujah!).

How to absorb oil (which is our personal fave!): Hold can 10-12 inches from dry hair; spray thoroughly, concentrating on oily areas. Let dry and style. We have found you need to be sure to protect clothing, bath and bed linens during use (spots can be easily removed with a mild soap and water).

White for white, silver, platinum, ash and champagne blonde
Blondish for darker blonde and lighter brunette
Red for all shades of red (also adds rosy tones to brunette and blonde). This shade has been discontinued so get it while you can!
Brown for chocolate, mahogany and chestnut
Black for inky brown, Asian, Hispanic, afro and goth
