another summer day

It has been beginning to dawn on me that I still have absolutely no plans for the summer yet. While most of my friends always end up finding a job at a camp or end up going on an extremely fun teen tour, I always find myself stuck in the middle not knowing what to do. Well, a teen tour is generally out of the question, but I've always wanted to travel over seas to Paris, Italy, or Spain. But, knowing that there isn't enough money for a trip of that nature and college applications are right around the corner, the word "internship" sprang up in my mind. The only thing is, I don't know where or what kind of internship I want let alone being able to find one. So...I'm just typing away at my computer on this lovely Sunday...hopefully I find something. I was thinking about finding a magazine internship in Manhattan or maybe taking some art classes. I'm slow :/

Anyways...what are you guys doing this summer? I'm sure none of you are in as much of a pitiful predicament as me.

summer loving

FINALLY a spring campaign that isn't over-commerically or trying too hard! I really love Pull & Bear's spring 2011 campaign for the reason that it's so free-spirited, nature-esque, and all about fun and summer. Photographed by Txema Yeste, Mackenzie Weinmann, Amalie Hartman, Elinor Jade, Max Motta and Arthur Sales model for the Spanish label’s simple and lightweight designs styled by Alberto Murta. LOVE THIS CAMPAIGN!! AHH! Loving the braids!

Valentino Fall/Winter 2011

I very much enjoyed this collection for it's sheer lace, flowing fabrics, elegance, and green/ nude color palette.  The high necked, long sleeved maxi dresses paired with the skinny belts flow with such a movement and elegance. My favorite piece would have to be the dark green leather coat because of how sharp it looks. I would have to agree with many critics however that this collection slightly lacked in originality. After all, Valentino used to be known for it's sophistication, luxury, and femininity. The collection presented many lovely dresses that portrayed a vintage style, but there was still something missing. I think there may have been a lack in diversity, especially for separates and casual-wear. Usually when you think of fall or winter, you picture a lot of separates and layering. I will still commend Valentino though for going on a different path than normally.

what did you guys think of this collection?
