waves

I have naturally wavy and curly hair, but i have to mess around with different products until I can achieve a somewhat decent look. I love the way wavy hair looks, especially in these pictures from weheartit. It's a very fun and flirty look whether you're going to a party or going to school. In my opinion I think its much more interesting than plain straight hair. If you have straight hair however, wavy hair is a very easy look to get. You can use a wave enhancing spray or gel from any hair-care line ( i prefer Aussie) and spray it on your hair after leaving it in braids overnight (2-5 braids depending on the size wave you want). You can also use a large barrel curling iron and twist larger sections of your hair than you normally would if you were curling it. Before you use any heat products though, I suggest using a heat protectant spray..( curling irons can be very damaging!!) Don't leave your hair in the curling iron for very long though, because you want to achieve a wave, not a curl. However, if you do...throughout the day your hair will lose the curl and it will eventually turn into waves. If you have curly hair, I would reccomend straightening/blowing out your hair first if you want that perfect wavy look, but once again, please please use a heat protectant spray or serum before applying hot tools to your hair (trust me you don't want split ends). Juicystar07 is a beauty guru on youtube and she has really great beauty videos. Here's a tutorial she made that was inspired by victoria's secret volumous curls (but it looks wavy) :) Enjoy the rest of your Saturday everyone! xoxo, Shaina
