Newlywed Katy Perry covers the December edition of Harper's Bazaar. Though the cover is a blatant reference to the always popular metallic color scheme of winter, the inside spread is based on muted colors. I love the play on her alabaster skin against the rich dark color of her hair. I am sure we will be seeing more of this soft almost washed out filter on fashion spreads for the winter editions of your favorite magazines. Winter is a time of very drab and non-existent vibrant colors, fashion spreads often imitate this by removing color.
