Airport Attire with Mandy Moore

This is my first Airport Attire post with a female and I'm very excited to announce that it's Mandy Moore. She is such a great person to represent fashion. She wears many iconic and sophisticated pieces but also remains youthful in her eclectic array of accessories. She really has fun with fashion and I think that's what you have to do. It has to make you happy first and foremost.

Her recent trip through the airport is no exception to her funky cool style. Here we see her dressing up her winter wear with some boho meets midwest accessories.
This hat is fantastic. Really adds a playful quality to her look. Try looking for a vintage hat in a consignment or antique store to get that real worn in look. It definitely will add more character to any outfit you wear. (Remember people have become genetically larger-skull and all- since the 30/40s/50s so don't be surprised if the hats seem small. If you're a girl, try looking through the men's hats!)
The glasses are also a fun part of the mix. Black framed glasses have always been in fashion. Don't listen to the people who say its just for hipsters. One of my favorite icons, Elvis Costello as well as one of yours, Buddy Holly, made the geeky chic frames famous. If you have bad eyesight- why not look more fashionable and add a sense of flair to your look? Or try your own vintage eyewear and make them a part of your look!
This jacket is also a great winter jacket. These fur trimmed military inspired jackets have been huge this year. They solve the purpose of keeping you warm, but also help the more fashionably inclined to remain in style.

I'm also a big fan of leather boots. As we have seen with some of the other Airport Attire blogs, they are the perfect travel wear. They are tough and durable but also very comfortable. You don't have to wear heels like some of the other starlets when traveling, to still look good.

Airport Attire with Ryan Gosling and Jake Gyllenhaal

In this new edition of Airport Attire, I am using Ryan Gosling and Jake Gyllenhaal as references as to how guys should dress when traveling.

Ryan Gosling is a great example of being fashionable while traveling. He took clues from his latest film project, Drive, where he stars alongside Carey Mulligan. Here is an image of his wardrobe on the set:
Notice the V-neck white button up shirt and leather driving gloves as well as the dark sunglasses. Ryan emulates this same look at the airport in these images:
Here we see Ryan is wearing a similar white V-neck shirt underneath a gray cardigan and suede brown zip up jacket. He wears leather driving gloves just like his character, as well as dark sunglasses. His sunglasses are a tortoise shell frame, which nicely complements his jacket. Ryan also wears grayish-green colored leather shoes, similar to his off white shoes from set.

He looks extremely put together. However, when looking at the actual items he's wearing, they are nothing you couldn't find in your own closet. Most of this outfit is basics. If you don't have a suede jacket, wear another zip up jacket instead. The leather shoes could easily be substituted with boots.

Jake Gyllenhaal is casually dressed in his latest travels through the airport. Here we see him wearing nothing more than a T-shirt and jeans.
To add a level of sophistication to this outfit, Jake wears Ray Ban wayfarer sunglasses. In my opinion, Ray Bans can make anyone look good. There are such a wide variety of styles that are able to fit every face perfectly. Jake slightly tucks in his shirt in the front, showing his brown leather belt which matches his brown leather shoes. Guys: Belts do help in fashion! If you have a keen eye, you will have noticed that Ryan Gosling is also wearing a belt above.
This is a very simple outfit on Jake but still looks great.

Hope this helps you stay fashionable as Holiday traveling is right around the corner!

Airport Attire with Chris Pine

Chris Pine is a great example of how men should dress at the airport. This is casual and chic all in one. The button down shirt and navy blazer make this outfit sophisticated. By not tucking in the shirt, adding dark jeans and white sneakers Pine is making this comfortable as well. Pine opts out of the backpack we see so many stars carrying through the airport for this black leather bag. The tortoise shell sunglasses are also a nice classy finishing touch. Nothing he is wearing is too flashy making this the perfect simple outfit for men who are traveling. Source
