Did someone say...waffles?!?!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......Boy do these puppies look good. The belgian waffle is mostly famous for its large size, light batter, higher grid patterns, and deep pockets. It can be served with al sorts of things. Some of my favorites are: nutella, strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, whip cream, and jelly. I also sometimes just take the batter and mix in semisweet chocolate chips so that when it cooks, the chocolate chips melt and I dont have to go overboard with other sugary toppings (im on a diet yaaaknow =p). Another helpful tip, try making the batter the night before, so that in the morning you can just pour it in your waffle maker and you're ready to go. If the batter gets too thick in the morning, try adding some milk.
Some healthy alternatives: Use whole wheat flower instead of white, use brown sugar or skip the sugar (i did that once and it tasted fine), use low fat or fat free milk, and try using fruit instead of syrup.
