The hats were by far my favorite and it looks as if coat-dresses are back! The event was so beautiful and I really enjoyed watching the rerun on my saturday morning!!

Prince William and Duchess Catherine's Wedding Day Pictures

Like many other Americans, I was awake at 4am to watch the Royal Wedding. It was quite a spectacular event and highly organized. But more important than the extravagance was the fashion. I must admit I was worried after seeing Diana's overwhelming to the point of drowning in fabric, dress. I did hope for the best and Kate definitely exceeded my expectations. Taking notes from Grace Kelly's intricate lace and delicate cinched waist gown, Kate looked stunning. Her dress was created by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton. William looked just as stately and spectacular in his bright red uniform.
Kate wore another glamourous dress to her reception, also created by Sarah Burton.
They were seen the following day catching a helicopter out of Buckingham Palace for a weekend getaway.
I wish the happy couple all the best!

Prince William and Kate Middleton's Engagement

I present the engagement photos that Prince William and his wife-to-be Kate Middleton approved for distribution in the media. Personally I love the natural, soft color palette. The cream blouse on Kate gives her a warm appearance against her light brown hair. I think both of the photographs show different sides of the couple.

The first is meant to be powerful. It looks like a soon to be King and Queen because of the more rigid postures of their bodies. This photograph is to win over the more conservative citizens. The second photograph is a warmer embrace. They both wear light colors and it looks more like a typical engagement photo you would receive from your friends and family. They appear approachable and warm because of the genuine happiness exuding from their smiles. This photograph helps win over the more liberal audience. It takes away the role of King and Queen and just focuses on the love of a couple.
