Are you sick and tired of resorting to the sexy nurse costume or bumblebee tutu you used to wear in junior high? I Know I know it's kind of early, but I was wondering what I'm going to wear for Halloween and I thought; hey maybe other people are too? Well....here are some Halloween ideas for 2010:
1. Lady Gaga: Not many people can pull off a Lady Gaga look during school or a regular day, but Halloween is the perfect time to dress like her without getting nasty looks. As this costume idea is becoming more and more popular as Lady Gaga herself does, try to think of something unique instead of overly trashy. I like the idea of dramatic makeup with a wig and fabulously gaga hat. Or, try remaking one of her looks from her music videos; since they are pretty well known. Alejandro features short hair with a bold red lip, Bad Romance features blond curly locks, falsies, and big BIGGG eyes. Try doing some research or watch some of her videos. Inspiration is key to an awesome costume.
2. Egyptian Princess- I really think I want to try this look for Halloween this year because it's easy to DIY. For makeup, it's all about the bronzed look. It would look great with a gold and bronze smokey eye, some brown winged eyeliner, and a sweep of bronzer. You are going to need a gold or white dress that is close to the body. With that in mind, you can add gold embellishments with ribbon or apiliques from any craft store. If you have gold bangles or cuffs that would look awesome! If not: you can always buy them for cheap from forever21 or you can ask a relative if you can borrow.Having your hair straight would be the best way to go and maybe doing some diy for a beaded headpiece will really tie the look together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4qNRmwli-A
3. Jersey Shore: Hopefully people will like this idea but I think that it would be really funny if you were with a big group of people and you did it. Just remember: lots of bronzer, ed hardy, and hoop earings!
4. BARBIE- For this look you should start off by getting a blonde wig. Before you put it on, do your makeup by having an exaggerated pink crease color with a light blue lid color. For the face makeup, you want a porcelain finish because after all barbies are made of plastic. Contour your nose, so it appears smaller, and apply false lashes to your eyes. A pink blush, pink nailpolish color, and over-all pink outfit is perfect. Michelle Phan looks flawless in her tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/user/MichellePhan#p/search/0/J4-GRH2nDvw
