The aristocratic model Stella Tennant
One of my all time favorite models Stella Tennant, the British beauty whose father is the Duke of Devonshire and fourth cousin to Princess Diana, you may recall her from countless Burberry, Prada and Chanel ads, who was discovered in 1993 by photographer Steven Meisel. Throughout her career, Stella has always maintained an edginess and attitude that has set her apart from her model counterparts, the rebel aristocrat who was one of the very first models to make pierced noses excepted on the catwalk. I have enjoyed watching her change her haircuts and hair color for years; she even sported a mullet one season on the runways. She was dubbed the 90’s face of androgyny and chic grunge with her regal fine English bone structure, standing at 6 feet tall she is a wife and a mother of 4 who at 5 months pregnant walked the runway for Burberry and shot a vogue cover. Today Stella is the new face for Vera Wang, Pucci, and countless others, someone to look for in wearing the latest London haircuts and color trends as she continues to grace the fashion pages and periodic runways.
